Saturday it was brighter and dry so I thought I would take the opportunity to go out to the Islands. The first one you get to is Murano, the glass makers island. I had a coffee sat outside on arrival at Colonna and then walked up the main street and Grand canal as far as the second bridge, below.
I am going to a wedding in June so was starting to look for a gift, I got a few ideas.

I walked to Faro and caught the ferry to Burano. To follow.
The sun is shining again this morning so I'm off out with my camera, first stop Rialto market I think.
Your photographs are superb. It is a long time since I visited any of the islands; it is so lovely to see them again through your eyes. I love the mosaic; it is magnificent.
