Most weekends I see the scouts either in a nearby camp or on the vaporetto returning after a sporting afternoon. Here they were doing several sports including skipping with a long rope. It brought back so many memories. Manchester guardian evening news....

I thought it was wonderful they were enjoying such simple games. On my way back from the Coop they were just packing up. The young people all had rosy cheeks from the exercise and fresh air.
Here ay Pinault's Punta della Dogane is the little boy with a frog. During the day he has a bodyguard. I jest not. To ensure no-one touches or defaces him. At night he has a safety cover put over him.
He isn't as appealing as the original - a boy with a lantern guiding boats into the city.
Had a great time with my visitors last night, good company, conversation & the food wasn't bad either!
Just on my way to a young musicians concert then meeting Neda for a spritz & coming back here for dinner.
