Friday night Joyce and I went to the inaugural concert of the group Venetia Antiua Ensemble. My friend Liesel is the opera singer of them, she lives in Venice and her husband directed the pantomime last year. Liesel is a wonderful soprano and the music was Handel, Vivaldi & Marcello. Wonderful pieces, not the Four Seasons. Afterwards there was prosecco and a buffet by Cari, also producer of the pantomime.

Liesl once told me that she wore one of his neck pieces at a performance at the Carnegie Hall and a friend who was sitting at the top said it glittered beautifully.

My friends Juliana and Alessandro. Alessandro was the King in the pantomime and I was teaching him Yorkshire phrases: Ee by gum, tintintin etc......
Despite this they have invited me to Sunday luck the week before I leave.
