Disaster strikes La Terrazza!

On Saturday night I had my good friends Liz and Geoff over to dinner.  I was playing music from my laptop through my docking station, to give ambience!  I had prepared a few photographs to show them - local home area, my house & family.  After dinner, Brian Turners smoked salmon parcels, pan fried chicken, carciofi, raddichio & gorgonzola wrapped in proscuttio & salad, followed by fresh fruit salad and a a venetian cream and biscuits we were ready for the entertainment.

My laptop had frozen, would not turn of itunes & a restart only got me to my login page.  Disaster!

Sunday, a phone call from Scott at the Apple store in Cambridge, gloomy looks from people at church and advice as to an unauthorized dealer in Mestre this morning I was going to ring Applecare.  On my way to Liz’s where i could use her wi-fi if necessary I called in at the internet shop.  Francesco switched it on and hey presto it worked.  He attends worship at san Giorgio and I said his hands had performed a miracle!

He asked me if I would help him to design a poster in English directing people to a small chapel where mass is held during the winter.  I did this whilst at Liz’s and managed a diagram of the building with an extra chapel shown and direction lines to follow.

I have sent it to him and will call in tomorrow to see if any changes are required.
