After running out of internet. Oooh for wi-fi and a trip to the Rialto it was a beautiful day so I set off rather late for the Islands. I had to be home for around 4pm as Gaspare was coming for tea. I took the southern route there, change at San Zaccaria, Punta Sabioni and Treporti before arriving at Burano. It was now 13.35 and I had to get the 14.26 vap to get home in time. Down the main street i sat outside and had a delicious bowl of vegetable soup, a quick walk around to take photos. no time to look in the shops and I goet the vap back via the northern route, one change at Fdte Nove. Both ways took 13/4 hours each and it’s 8 miles each way! But it was worth it as you see. The mountains were clear, I have never taken such great shots of Burano and the church at Torcello with them so clear.
